My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Another smoking cover, another paperback to add to my AR collection!

These 2 have pulled it out the bag again! It’s short, it’s fantasy, it’s packed with over the top sex, it’s typical AR!!! My 2 hour train journey flew by as I sunk in to Curvy like Flynn Long sunk into Cali Carr.

Soulless, T.M. Frazier

We like to try and be a little different over here at 2 Girls & Their Kindles, so for our review of Soulless, we asked a friend and die-hard Frazier fan if she’d like to guest review for us… we present Donna ‘The Positive Peacock’ Wright

10 Stars At The Very Least This Book Is Epic.

” On my bike with Logan’s Beach blurring around me, I became the Soulless Monster who was willing to spill rivers of blood for My Girl. There were a lot of Motherfuckers heading to hell tonight” T.M. Frazier

Oh Dear Fucking God, Where Do I Begin. This Book Is Absolutely Epic, It Managed To Sucked Me In, Chewed Me Up And Spat Me Out A Shocked Mess Of WTF!!!!

From The Beginning I Was On Tender Hooks Waiting For My World To Be Fucked With By The Evil Genius That Is T.M. Frazier.

I Screamed, I Cried, I Got All Hot And Flustered (Sigh) And I Got Mad As Fucking Hell. This Book Had It All But Most Of All It Had The Shock Factor And Did It Have That By The Bucket Load.

My Favourite Scene From The Whole Book Was Between Ghost Preppy And Thia, It’s Hysterical

“You’re fucking smoking hot,” he says looking me up and down. “You wanna make out?”

“Huh? What?”

“But since Bear’s my friend, no tongue though. Okay, maybe a little tongue, but only because you asked. No dick though. I draw the line there. Okay, only all the way in, but only for like an hour or two. Sound good?”

“What?” I ask again, rubbing my temples and trying to clear my mind so I can get a grasp on what exactly is going on here.

“Okay, okay, just until we both come. Or just me. Or whatever. Ground rules are important when starting a new relationship. I saw that on Oprah and that bitch knows her shit. If you don’t follow her book club you should.” T.M. Frazier

To Say I Loved This Book Is Underestimating It To Be Honest. There Are No Words For How I Feel About This Book And How Amazing A Mind, However Warped That T.M Frazier’s Is Beggars Belief. Completely Spellbinding And All Together Amazefuckingballs. I Recommend It Everyday And Twice On Sundays

” Bear was as Beautiful as he was Hard. He was both the Storm and the Calm. He was as Complex as he was Simple. The Fear, The Solace, The Rage And The Peace. My Life And My Love.” T.M. Frazier

All Hail The Queen Of Mean And Frazierland, T.M. ‘Motherfucking’ Frazier

Wherever It LeadsWherever It Leads by Adriana Locke

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a book that’s packed with love, it seeps out of every chapter, from the mains Brynne and Fenton, to besties Brynne and Presley. A really good read, filled with lots of emotion, from the touching love story playing out between Brynne and Fenton, to the hot and sexy!

Adriana has wrote a solid book, mainly told from the female POV, it has a great mix of emotion and humour as Brynne and Fenton’s relationship develops. The side characters were great, and they were the perfect balance, hopefully we’ll get to see more from them?!

Adore, Nina Lane

SOB-SexyCover-16155-AdoreAbout ADORE (Spiral of Bliss #4)

Liv and Dean West have always fallen together, but this time they might fall apart…

Liv and Dean have everything…almost. With a rambunctious toddler, crazy work schedules, and too many responsibilities, they’ve lost sight of their passionate, intimate marriage. And Professor West is none too happy about that.

Determined to lure his wife into hot new adventures, Dean struggles with his need to have Liv all to himself and the reality of sharing her with the world.

Then he gets an opportunity that could change their lives…and Liv is faced with the prospect of her white knight going places where she can’t follow.

Excerpt:
Spring rain sleets outside the window of my campus office, rivulets of water spilling over the glass. I work a loop of string between my fingers, creating a geometric pattern of triangles and squares.

I could end up working for an international organization, I remind myself. But I won’t. Despite the many fascinating aspects of the job, not to mention the intellectual and professional challenges and the fact that it would secure my career on an entirely new level, I can’t pursue it. Even if part of me wants to.

I unwind the string from my fingers and drop it onto the desk. I turn to my computer and pull up a document. After pushing thoughts of UNESCO and the World Heritage Center out of my mind, I spend the next hour working on a paper about medieval guildhalls.

My phone buzzes. An image of a busty, sexy French maid shows up on the screen, with Liv’s face pasted over the model’s.

I dial her number.

“Yes?” Her voice is sultry and low.

“Nice picture,” I tell her. “But your body is far superior.”

“Well, I haven’t yet found a French maid costume that fits well.” She heaves a sigh. “I think I need to buy all new lingerie.”

“You don’t need lingerie to turn me on.”

“I’m trying to give life to your fantasies, professor,” Liv says.

“You’re already my fantasy come to life.”

“Oh, for Lord’s sake.” Liv groans. “Would you work with me here? Do you understand that I am willing to act out your hottest fantasy? I’ll be a cheerleader, a stripper, a policewoman…hell, I’ll be a hooker, if that’s what it takes. The deal is you have to tell me what your fantasy is first.”

I know she’s expecting some elaborate scenario. When Liv fantasizes, she dreams up entire worlds involving pirate captains and their prisoners, or battles between fairies and elves. I, on the other hand, just picture her spread open in front of me

Finding North, Carmen Jenner

Finding NorthFinding North by Carmen Jenner

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

4.5 stars for Finding North

M/M is a new genre for me, and one that is quickly superseding my love for suited alpha billionaires. Finding North cements that even more! #LoveIsLove

Carmen Jenner’s boy’s hooked me straight from the start right in the heart (yes I am a lyrical master). The book is told in dual POV’s, past and present. Living in the small town of Red Maine, 18 year olds Will Tanner and North Underwood are childhood best friends, one summer everything changes and their relationship shifts to another level, one Will is more comfortable with than North, but it also became their downfall, and their once inseparable closeness and love for each shatters, one knows and accepts who he is, whilst the other denies himself.

Finding North is a story of acceptance, owning who you are, fighting and standing up for what you believe in and want and to hell with everyone else (it just took North as little more time). I loved how Carmen really got in the minds of Will and North, and how much passion was written in each page, it was emotional and breathtakingly beautiful, it’s hard not to fall in love with these characters.

Love is love.

Love is truth.

Love … shouldn’t be this damn hard to figure out.

Slip of the Tongue, Jessica Hawkins

Slip of the TongueSlip of the Tongue by Jessica Hawkins

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

4.5✶✶✶✶ stars for Jessica Hawkins

Firstly, the cover stunning, the title had me before reading the blurb, then I pulled my pornographic mind out of the gutter and realised it wasn’t a book packed with 1001 ways to perfect cunnilingus (really, who created that word it’s gross)

It’s hard not to give any spoilers away, so sticking with what you’ve already read in the blurb, Slip of the Tongue was a beautifully told story from Sadie’s POV, about her marriage struggles, how one fights to make things work when the relationship seems to be failing in every way around them, the loss of feeling loved and neglected, but then cherished when all you is crave is a little affection even if it’s not from the one that it should be, and you know in your heart what your doing is wrong. The love triangle between Sadie, Nathan and Finn, was portrayed in a way you felt for each of them in different ways. I loved Finn’s character, he is hot and just oozes sex, Sadie you felt for but sometimes wanted to shake sense into, and Nathan what’s going on inside that man’s head

I know some people find cheating, love triangles etc hard to deal with in a book and stay away, fortunately I’m not one of those, and if you are, then you are missing out on a treat of a book. Jessica Hawkins has wrote a great book, and I look forward to reading more from her in the future.

Set the Pace, Kim Karr

Set the Pace (The Detroit Love Duet, #1)Set the Pace by Kim Karr

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Jasper Storm, storm by name storm by nature is H.O.T

“All grown up, the broken city of Detroit hails him their shining star. And the man behind a new cutting-edge automobile is ready to turn this bankrupt town around.”

Our 2 main characters Jasper and Charlotte have known each other for years, they were once best friends until one night she left when he most needed her. Jasper hasn’t had an easy life, suffering poverty in a broken city (apart from Eminem and 8 Mile I knew nothing about Detroit, I know more now), loss and tragedy, he used all that tried to break him and turned it on it’s arse to make him a better person, strong, ambitious, driven, he wants to be the best in everything and that looks like it’s about to happen until… Charlotte…. Charlie has been away from Detroit for 20 years, now she’s back and is looking for answers.

Set the Pace, was a perfect read, it had everything you want in a book, hot characters, lies, plot twist & turns, it had me racing through the pages. Kim yet again writes a great gripping read. How long until Turn it Up?

Undo Me, M. Robinson

Undo Me (The Good Ol' Boys, #3)Undo Me by M. Robinson

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

50% in and this book had me confused, at this point I wasn’t sure if I liked or disliked Undo Me, nothing was happening to grip me (stay with me here), it was a love story between good girl Aubrey and manwhore Dylan, they meet as teenagers, there was a little angst and some humour, a coming of age love story THEN WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED at 51% shit get’s real, M. Robinson you evil genius, now you got me totally hooked, and I flew through the pages.

How perfect is the title of this book! From 51% on wards I felt every single piece of raw emotion from both Bree and Dylan’s POV, I couldn’t work out who I loved more. My heart was being stretched between the 2 for many different reasons, one minute I want to smack Dylan for being the arsehole, then I want to grab Bree and shake her to see sense, I want to kiss Dylan for staying strong, and hug Bree for being weak.

After digesting for a day I realised this is one book that will stand out among it’s peers and deserves too, M. Robinson has written a great book, that deals with some very sensitive real life issues in it’s ugly true form without glossing over the nasty bits, and dumbing down the reality and implications of those affected. The reason I gave this 4 stars and not 5 is because I’m the sort of reader that wants something to happen within the first 20% (call me impatient), and it took half of the book for me to get to grips with.

Synopsis: The conclusion to Caleb and Isabelle’s story…

Everything is going as planned, for the most part. With school, the club, and new responsibilities on the horizon, the life Caleb and Isabelle imagined together is so close they can taste it. But their happiness is also a fragile one–all it takes is one wrong turn, one stupid decision and their happily ever after shatters all over the highway.

Because as old threats resurface and new ones rise, the most deadly enemy of all lies not in outside forces, but inside the club itself. How do you follow orders when you know those orders might destroy everything you love? How do you move forward when all your best-laid plans slip right through your fingertips?

Choice breeds consequence. Hope rises from the ashes. Love weathers any storm. And in the end, every road leads home.

Carry You Home picks straight up where Carry Your Heart ended, everything is going great for Caleb and Isabelle, but you know something is going to happen, or else why would there be a second book. Being part of the Iron Horsemen MC comes with it’s own troubles, things quickly start going wrong around them and tragedy strikes, and hearts break.  Will Caleb and Isabelle’s love be strong enough to see them through it? you need to read that for yourself!  Carry You Home is packed with emotion, K. Ryan’s writing is amazing and she captures everything love, heartbreak, tragedy, loyalty and trust. I really enjoyed this 4 star read x

CARRY YOUR HEART
by K. Ryan
Carry Your Heart, #1
Publication Date: July 14, 2015
Genres: Adult, Contemporary Romance, New Adult, MC

Synopsis: When Isabelle Martin steps onto Sawyer Auto Repair’s parking lot, she can’t believe it’s come to this. After dropping out of a school she never really wanted to go to in the first place and dumping a boyfriend she never really loved to begin with, she thought coming home to Claremont, North Carolina would solve all her problems. Instead, she’s still reeling from her mom’s death six months earlier and trying, but failing to help her dad, who’s sunken deep into a whiskey-fueled depression. Working in the local, motorcycle club-owned, auto shop’s office is a last resort, but it’s the only option she has…even if it means working with Caleb Sawyer, the bad-boy biker with swagger to spare who used to drive her up the wall in high school.

Caleb Sawyer is on the fast-track to a downward spiral. He used to think he had the world at his feet–all he has to do is be patient, earn his keep in the club and in the shop, and his legacy within the Iron Horsemen MC will be his for the taking when the time is right. But
that just doesn’t mean anything without his old lady by his side, who wants to leave Claremont more than she wants to stay with him. When the bottom finally drops out, nothing prepares him for the impact and he deals with it the only way he knows how–with whiskey and women. Despite all that, being around Isabelle Martin, the girl whose feathers he ruffled so easily in high school, somehow brings him back to life. She doesn’t take any of his crap, but she calls him on it without judgment and without pity.

Despite some initial animosity, Caleb and Isabelle quickly realize that the perceptions they had of each other in high school couldn’t be further from the truth. The more time they spend together, the closer they become and the more they gravitate towards each other. Both are at a crossroads, but stuck in reverse. Isabelle needs help; she just doesn’t know how to ask for it. Caleb needs a life preserver; he just doesn’t know where to find one. And ultimately, on the path to rediscovery and identity, all roads lead them to exactly what they need–each other.

**New adult/contemporary romance told in alternating points of view. Recommended for readers 18 and older.**
