Touchdown, Lauren Rowe you took me to the end zone and scored 5 stars, son! Just when I thought your books couldn’t get any hotter (Misadventures on the Night Shift) or funnier (Ball Peen Hammer), you defy gravity and bring your readers a perfect mix of fun and frolics with star crossed lovers Zooey Cartright and Tyler Caldwell. I never thought anyone could knock my Jonas Faraday off his pedestal BUT Hallelujah, Tyler Caldwell pour some sugar on me as I’m never gonna give you up!

I said it first, I may love these SAS hero’s more than the Driscoll boys, bold brave words I’m throwing down as they are 2 very different types of alphas, and we only got a little taste of the team as a unit, but there’s just something about their power and strength that draws me to them… And before you all get your grubby mits on the book, Badger is mine, I licked him I win!

City Under Siege was something else, R.J. Prescott’s words really kept you gripped thoughout. Off the bat the book jumps straight into a great thriller/suspense, with twists and turns all the way until the final pages, not something I think many readers are expecting. With strong alpha heros and heroines, it really is a battle of the wills and sexes, and without giving anything a way to spoil your enjoyment, I’ll leave it with one word… NAN.

R.J. took a real leap of faith starting up a new series, before releasing Tommy’s story, one that I know she warred with and had her own internal battle as to what her readers would think. City Under Siege took her out of her comfort zone, it pushed her boundries, and went in an entirely new direction to what she was use to writing, but it was also a story that was filling her head (and a certain Pinterest board full of Tom Hardy and Scott Eastwood images and a few other miliarty hotties) and one she needed to tell before another Driscoll Boys story could be put to paper. But I know readers will not be disappointed with City Under Siege, and will love them both just as much ~ it just gives as more man candy to devour!

Up in Smoke by TM Frazier

This is the fastest I’ve read a book in over a year. From the prologue to the epilogue, Up in Smoke has everything, old scores settled and new scores avenged.

Smoke is as bad arse as we remember him in All the Rage, he’s all muscle, mayhem and mystery. He doesn’t give much away but when he does he gives his all. But he’s met his match with Frankie, she’s got balls, not in the style of Rage but in her own self confidence and motive, she owns it.

Reading Up in Smoke I felt TM has gone back to her earlier writing style like Dark Light of Day, King and Tyrant, which I love her for. It’s gritty, faced paced, full of action and plenty of cameos from characters we know and love but keeping within story. I loved how old ground was covered, and questions answered (also make sure to read the All the Rage bonus chapter at the end), and new territory explored.

5 Stars for Sarina Bowen’s new release.

A bonk on the head or a bonk in bed, Brooklynaire hits the spot! My first 5 star of the year. Nate and Becca FLOVE!!!!!

This book has everything, hot CEO, techie geek, hockey and hot sex. I love how Sarina threw everything into the Brooklynaire pot and came out with a damn fine cake with a cherry on top.

Nate and Becca are everything I love in books, CEO and assistant, that’s my jam, gets me everytime, but include a little geek and I’m drooling. The hockey element was brilliant, as a reader I really got involved on and off the rink and could feel the tension as the playoffs loomed.
