So just when you think Jade couldn’t take you anywhere else with this series after Dirty Bad Strangers, she unleashes Dirty Bad Secrets on us! and fucking hell it’s dirty, bad and has it’s secrets.
The book focuses on club Explicit’s 2 owners Andy Morgan and Faye Devere. 9 months after the club opens, Faye up and leaves disappearing to Italy, where she spends the next 3 years living as a submissive (Magpie) to erotic author Vincent Blackthorne. The story focuses on the now, and the now is Faye she has returned and she wants to reclaim her 50/50 partnership with Andy in more ways then one, but he’s not going to make it easy for her, they both have secrets they are holding on too but Faye has secrets that she’s running from and Vincent is hot on her heels.
Jade doesn’t change her writing style if you like her books, you should like this as much as the rest of the series, it’s told from a dual POV, it pushes boundaries to the extreme, it’s damn right sick in parts, it might be hard reading for some as the sex at best is extremely rough and very blurred consensual. It was good to see some previous characters in the book Masque/James still our ‘golden’ boy, Cat, Raven and Cara, and the new edition of Topaz (I think we’ll be seeing more of Topaz).
I can’t stress enough this book really took BDSM to the extreme, I had to Google Jennings Dental Gag, well see for yourself…
Really readers you have to listen to the warnings the author leaves on her books! If BDSM (extreme) isn’t your cup of tea, then move on, as this isn’t FSOG
